Arnie Arnesen is producer and host of The Attitude with Arnie Arnesen on WNHN 94.7 FM in Concord, NH and online at wnhnfm.org. Arnesen also contributes as a political analyst on WGBH Public Radio Boston, Iowa Public Radio, WGIR AM in Manchester, NH, WKBK AM in Keene, NH and WTPL 107.7 FM in Concord, NH.
The first woman in New Hamsphire state history to receive gubernatorial nomination by a major party in 1992, Arnesen is well-versed in politics and her programs and commentary focus on policy, politics and people that make a difference in our lives.
Arnesen attended St. Olaf College and received her JD from Vermon Law School. She has the distinction of educating Fellows from the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University on state and national politics. Arnesen was the Democratic nominee for Congress in 1996.
Arnesen’s accomplishments include previously hosting two award-winning political shows, Political Chowder on WZMY TV and Capital Ideas on WNDS TV, serving on faculty at Franklin Pierce College, and serving as a key political speaker for Leadership NH, the National Education Association, and the Kennedy School at Harvard University. During the presidential election cycle, Arnesen appears regularly as a political analyst on WBUR’s “Greater Boston,” TV Ontario’s “The Agenda,” SBS-TV Australia, and Al Jazeera.
Honors earned by Arnesen include New Hampshire Association of Broadcaster’s Air Personality of the Year in 2004 and 2005, and Air Personality of the Year for TV in 2008. In 2000, Talkers Magazine recognized her as one of the 100 most powerful talk show hosts in America. Arnesen was named Environmentalist of the Year by NH Sierra Club, as well as Citizen of the Year by the New Hampshire Association of Social Workers.
